I know we are all made of stars! I don’t know much but I am sure there is a lot of things to learn and try to explain!! It is an interesting field!!

I did Physics, so I do know a fair amount about space. It doesn’t interest me – it scares me a little. There’s still so much we don’t know, and I know many people who work in Astronomy, finding out more all the time.

Space is something I have been interested in for most of my life. I first looked at the stars through my grand father’s telescope (which I still have) when I was about 10 years old and read many books about what was being discovered. At that time I remember reading that Mars was populated by an advanced civilisation who had constructed canals from the north and south pole to bring water to the equator and astronomers speculated that people lived in structures which looked like mushrooms so they would be protected from the sun’s radiation. This was speculated because images from telescopes were not very clear and not much detail was seen until remote probes were sent to Mars and sent back pictures. They showed everything we had thought about the surface of mars (including the advanced civilisation) was wrong. You need to be very careful when speculating about object in space. Things are often very different than we thought. If you are interested in space I recommend joining a local Astronomy club. There you will find people who will teach you a lot about space. There is a lot of videos and free software to download from the internet that will teach you ho to explore space and what to look out for.
