      Electricity. It’s not really an invention. Mankind has always know of electricity because of lightening generated by thunderstorm. It was the harnessing of electricity and the discovery that electricity could be put to useful work that was really important. It was the work of Michael Faraday in 1800’s who realised that electricity when used with magnets would make thing spin. He invented the first electric motor and we have not look back since. Without electricity our modern society could not exist.
