      Thank you for your question. There are only two things required to make an electric car work. An electric Motor and a Battery.
      In the early 1800’s an English Scientist, Michael Faraday discovered that when an electric current (from a battery) passes through a wire and the wire is surrounded by a magnet, the wire moved. This ‘movement’ is what is used by the car’s motor to turn the wheels. So when the battery power is connected by the driver the car moves and stops when they turn off the power.
